CAN LIGHT BE TOUCHED?

A SENSE OF TOUCH IS FAMILIAR WHEN IT COMES TO INTERACTING WITH PHYSICAL OBJECTS, BUT NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE INTANGIBLE. OUR PERCEPTION OF LIGHT HAS BEEN DIRECTED BY SIGHT, HOWEVER, IS THERE A WAY TO INDUCE THE "MATERIALITY" OF LIGHT THROUGH TOUCH?

EXPLORING THE CONCEPT OF LIGHT AS MATERIAL, TACTILITY OF LIGHT ATTEMPTS TO ADD A NEW SENSORY DIMENSION TO OUR EXPERIENCE OF LIGHT THROUGH THE HAPTIC MODALITY. WEARING HAPTIC GLOVES THAT PRODUCES TACTILE FEEDBACK ACCORDING TO VISUAL QUALITIES OF LIGHT, THE VIEWERS CAN FEEL THE DIFFERENT VOLUMES AND TEXTURES WITH THEIR HANDS. THE INSTALLATION PRESENTS DIFFERENT FORMS OF LIGHT IN SPACE THAT THE VIEWER CAN ACTIVELY INTERACT WITH.
